Connie Faucett, 78, of New Castle passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born on June 10, 1945 in New Castle to the late Ike and Mildred (Sorrell) Smith.
A lifelong resident of Henry County, she worked at Chrysler Corp. in New Castle. Connie also worked at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis and then MWA Sandpaper Factory in New Castle, where she retired after many years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and attended Westview Church of the Nazarene. Connie loved playing BINGO and, in her earlier years, enjoyed attending and coaching her kids softball games. Above all, Connie loved spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda (Michael) Reeves of Greenfield, David Davis of New Castle, Sha (Kelly) Ridenour of New Castle and Katina (Trent) Dishman of Straughn, daughter-in-law, Kristi Davis of New Castle; grandchildren, Christopher Haggard, JD (Betty) Blankenship, Kaleb (Cinder) Davis, Luke (Mikal) Davis, Isaac (Cheyenne) Davis, Elijah Davis, Daniel Davis, Brooke (Jason) Riddle, Katy Lloyd, Kylie Dishman (Josh Lee), Vade Dishman and Vance Dishman; 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Don) Boyd of New Castle; sister-in-law, Donna Davis of Hagerstown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. “Spicket” Faucett; a grandson, Joseph Davis; sister, Kay Butler; 2 brothers, Freddie and Donnie Smith.
The family would like to give a special thanks to The Waters of New castle and SouthernCare Hospice and their staff for the wonderful care provided during her last few weeks of life.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition.
