Corinne B. Popplewell

Corinne B. Popplewell, 92, formerly of New Castle, passed away at her home in Anderson on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born June 26, 1933 in Albany, Kentucky to James Cletus and Jenny (Griffith) Cross.

A homemaker, Corinne had worked in the dietary department at Henry County Memorial Hospital in her younger years. She had also served as den mother for the Cub Scouts when her sons were young. Corinne attended Pleasant Valley Community Church in Middletown and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Her hobbies included reading, listening to music, raising family pets and going to garage sales. Corinne also cherished family vacations to Kentucky visiting family members.

She is survived by a son, Chad (Shirley) Popplewell of Anderson, five grandchildren, Katie, Sheila, Britney, Jennie, and Marvin, several great-grandchildren, brother, Jay Cross of Indianapolis and several extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Popplewell, a son, Dennis Popplewell and four siblings, Ralph, Kenny, Yvonne and Deborah.

There will be no public services and burial will be in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Contributions can be made to the Henry County Humane Society, 11 Midway Dr, New Castle, IN 47362.
