Dale Edgar Albertson

Dale Edgar Albertson, 91, of Spiceland passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born on September 5, 1935, in Randolph County to the late Gerald and Nora (Mobley) Albertson.

A 1953 graduate of Spiceland High School, after high school Dale joined the United States Army where he was stationed at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, Georgia and Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Dale worked as a pipefitter at Chrysler from 1965 until his retirement in 1997. In his years after retirement Dale enjoyed working in his yard, going fishing and shooting guns. He spent his winters in Florida for many years. Dale enjoyed going to the horse track and watching the races so much, so he bought a racehorse and joined in on the horse racing that he loved to watch. Dale was a member of Spiceland Friends Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his sons, Eric (Teresa) Albertson and Kirk Albertson; grandchild, Erin Albertson; sister, Marjorie Loveless; and brother-in-law, Ed Addington.

In addition to his parents Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Albertson whom he married on October 18, 1959; daughter, Beth Albertson; sister, Terry Addington.

Services will be on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Spiceland Friends Church. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
