Dale Edward Weintraut

Dale Edward Weintraut, 95, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1927 in New Castle, IN, a son of the late Adam B. and Weda P. (Crosby) Weintraut.

Dale was 1949 graduate of New Castle High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines. Dale retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1985 following 39 years of service. He was member of St. Anne Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was Grand Knight for two years.

Dale is survived by his children, Betsy (Charles “Ed”) Davis of Hagerstown, Tony Weintraut and Timothy Weintraut, both of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Laura (Tyler) Oyer, Ashton (Bobby) Belt, Tabitha Dean (Wesley), Brandy McNally, Taylor Jordan, Aspen Bradley (Mason); five great grandchildren, Jensen Luke Belt, Addilyn Anne Belt, Nora June Oyer, Graylynn Elizabeth Bradley, and Davis Stephen Oyer.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Norma June Weintraut; two brothers, George and Floyd Weintraut, and two sisters, Bernice Carmichael and Virginia Selke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle with Father John M. Hall officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Hospice or St. Anne Catholic Church.
