Daryl Coleman

Daryl Morris Coleman, 74, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial in Muncie. He was born July 7, 1948 in New Castle, a son of the late Archie and Mildred (Lyle) Coleman.

Daryl was a 1966 graduate of New Castle High School where he had played basketball and golf. He attended Edison College in Fort Myers, Fl as well as Eastern Illinois University. Daryl was employed at the American Legion Golf Course and formerly owned & operated a golf course in Muncie. He had also worked at Westwood Country Club and enjoyed watching sports on television..

Survivors include two brothers, Wayne (Shirley) Coleman of Rochester, Minnesota and Orlin Coleman of Zionsville; sister, Oleta Lorton of New Castle and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Daryl was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil & Larry Coleman; and one sister. Carol Gebhart.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29. 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Pastor Jim Becker will be officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
