Davena Kaye Littrell

Davena Kaye Littrell, 79, a resident of New Castle passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at Henry Community Health in New Castle. She was born April 17, 1946 in Wayne County, Indiana to Raymond D. and Margaret (Huddleston) Woolard.

Davena was raised on a farm near Millville, Indiana and learned the value of hard work at an early age. She began her career at Henry County Savings and Loan, which later became known as Ameriana Bank. Davena was employed there for 50 years and worked as a secretary to the president and as a receptionist. 

A wonderful mother, she treasured spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were truly her pride and joy. She had a lifetime of meaningful friendships. She was loved by many because of her caring ways, thoughtfulness, and delightful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling her mom, grandma, sister, and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Brian Bouslog of New Castle; a daughter, Julie (John) Mueller of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Brant Bouslog, Helen, David, Alan, and James Mueller; two sisters, Donna (Randy) Heath of Sun City Center, FL and Doris (Mike) Williams of Cambridge City, IN; a sister-in-law, Jackie Woolard of Hagerstown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Davena was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Woolard.

Visitation will be Friday March 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.  A celebration of Davena’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn addition. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Heart Association through the Henry County Community Foundation, 700 S.
