David P. Hall

David P. Hall, 74, of New Castle, passed away September 21, 2026. He was born December 23, 1951, in Beardstown, Illinois.

He was a 1970 graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended International Business College of Fort Wayne. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in New Castle.

In May of 2002, David retired following 30 years of service as a truck driver for Marsh Supermarkets. He owned and operated Hall’s Tax Service for more than 35 years and H.H. Construction for 15 years. He volunteered for God’s Grain Bin where he served as secretary and treasurer for many years.

David was a generous and hardworking man. His favorite things in life, outside of his family, were helping others and fishing. He was a true “jack of all trades” and could fix or build just about anything. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and was always there when they needed him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his children, Kim D. (Hall) Moyer (Jamie) of Winchester, IN, Jennifer K. (Colin) Cooke of Sulphur Springs, IN, Sean D. (Jessica) Hall of Keystone Heights, FL, and Justin L. Hall of Keystone Heights, FL, 8 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 4 great-grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters, brother Gene (Ruth) Spears of Allerton, IL, sisters Dorothy Willis of Sidell, IL, and Carla R. Gunn, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Hall Jr. and Audrey (Semler) Hall, son Kenny D. Hall of Keystone Heights, FL, and his biological mother, Helen I. Bolton.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, with Pastor Brian Neal officiating.
