Edward “Eddie” Earl Wright, 43, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2025. He was born on June 29, 1982, in Munich, Germany, the son of Bill and Cindy Wright.

Eddie graduated from Tri High School in 2000, a place where he not only excelled academically but also showcased his athletic prowess. As a dedicated wrestler throughout high school, he embraced the spirit of competition and teamwork, earning his letter jacket—a symbol of his hard work and commitment.

Following his education, Eddie worked at several factories and foundries including Grede in New Castle. His work ethic mirrored the tenacity he displayed on the wrestling mat, showing his love for taking on challenges head-on.

Eddie's life was further enriched by his service as an Army veteran, a role he approached with honor and pride. His military experience shaped his values, instilling a deep sense of duty to his country and community.

In addition to his professional and military endeavors, Eddie enjoyed bowling and actively participated in a pool league, where he formed lasting friendships over friendly competitions. His adventurous spirit was exemplified in his love for riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed watching movies and collecting pocketknives.

Eddie's natural inclination to tinker and fix things—be it a vehicle or an electrical problem—was well-known among those who loved him. This hands-on approach extended beyond mechanics; it was evident in the way he interacted with everyone around him, always ready to lend a hand or offer advice.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Bill (Cindy) Wright; twin brother, Paul (Holli) Wright; son, Cameron Wright; nephews, Billy and Frankie Wright; uncles, Mike (Jane) Smith, Pat (Tia) Smith, Ray Wright, Con Wright, Nick Wright, Newt Wright, and Bruce (Martha) Wright; aunt, Betty Rose; and several cousins and other extended family members.

Eddie was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents; uncles, Steve Smith and Phil Smith; and aunt, Margaret.

Cremation will take place at Hinsey Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Eddie at www.hinsey-brown.com.
