Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Golob

Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Golob, 83, of Greenfield passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, October 23, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1943, in Maysville, KY to the late Perry W. and Rosa Lee (Miller) Kidder.

Libby cherished the time with her family and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved tending to her flower garden, cooking, working her crossword puzzles and coloring. Libby also enjoyed her trips with her husband James to Shipshewana. She loved her fish and taking care of the aquarium.

She is survived by her husband of 37 wonderful years, James Golob; sons, Carl (Judy) Hickle. Steve (Sandy) Hickle and Jeffrey Hickle; daughters, Cathy (Rodney) Prince, Margret “Susie” Whitaker and Barbara (Herschell) Brunson; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Libby is preceded in death by her sons, Charles Hickle and Matthew Golob; sisters, Shirley Purcell and Emma Jean Gallagher; great grandchild, Cormac O’Bold.

Services will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
