Everett Jackson "Jack" Lowe

Everett Jackson “Jack” Lowe, 70, formerly of New Castle passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at Franciscan Health in East Lafayette. He was born March 29, 1953 in New Castle to the late Ernest and Hazel (Ballenger) Lowe.

Jack retired from Wilson’s Foods in Logansport after 18 years of service. He had also been employed at KFC and Domino’s Pizza for many years. Jack enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards and horseshoes as well as watching television. In his younger years, he played baseball, basketball and ran track. A hard working and patient gentleman, Jack loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Sydney.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years: Doris (Turner) Lowe, whom he married January 10, 1976; a daughter: Amy Lowe of Topeka, IN; "adopted" granddaughter: Kaitlyn Bault and great-grandson: Weston, both of Kokomo; two brothers: William “Bill”(Margaret) Lowe of Kokomo and George (Darmy) Lowe of Dennison, KS; two sisters: Altie (David) Thurston and Sally (Chuck) Lowe, both of New Castle; brothers-in-law: David Allen of Valdosta, GA, Ronald Wilkinson of New Castle, Dennis (Judy) Turner of Tallapoosa, GA and Randy Calhoun of Somerset, KY; sisters-in-law: Georgiann (James) Spencer of Eaton, OH, Brenda (Randall) Bowling of Somerset, KY and Joy Turner of Eaton, OH; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Allen and Rita Wilkinson; brother-in-law: Larry Turner; sister-in-law: Valerie Calhoun; nephew: Daniel Lee Spencer; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Randall and Toni Turner; grandparents: Leo and Lucy Ballenger and his grand dog: Sydney.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jerry Ingalls officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cass County Library, 616 E. Broadway Street, Logansport, IN 46947.
