Glen Edward Crandall, age 88, formerly of New Castle, went to his eternal rest on November 12, 2014, in San Diego, CA. He was born June 24, 1926 in Henry County, a son of the late Lloyd Miller Crandall and Nellie Rhodes Crandall.
Glen graduated from New Castle High School in 1945. A few days after graduation, he left to serve in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. Following the war, he earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in 1952 and received a Masters of Arts degree from Northern Arizona State University in 1958.
Glen taught high school math and coached in Ray, AZ and Chandler, AZ. For 35 years, he worked as a Farmers Insurance Group agent in Chandler, AZ and Yuma, AZ. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Yuma, AZ, and participated in the ministries of International Crusade and Radio Evangelism (ICARE, Inc.).
