Glenn Allen Coffin, 57, of Mooreland Indiana born November 11, 1965, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and all four children on June 14, 2023. He fought a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma and never gave up hope. He was at peace knowing that death was not a final destination, but a passage to a glorious afterlife in Heaven.
He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and cousin. He is survived by his loving spouse Cheryl R. Coffin, parents Carolyn R (Scrogham) and Merrill Coffin, children William Freedom Coffin, (Recia Coffin), Brandon Coffin (Christin Coffin), Jesse Coffin (Amy Whipple-Coffin), Caleb Coffin (Sydney Coffin), grandchildren Jazmine Jenkins, Caden Noel (Freedom), Levi Coffin, Lincoln Coffin (Brandon), Grayson Coffin, Katelyn Coffin (Jesse), Lexie Cordell, Elijah Coffin, Samuel Coffin (Caleb), sister, Loretta Evans, nephews Benjamin Evans (Rebecca), Jacob Evans (Madeline), Nathan Evans (Emily) and many Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Friends.
Glenn had a long career as a mechanic at Luellen Farms, where he earned the respect and friendship of many people. He had a remarkable talent for repairing or inventing anything he set his mind to. He was always active and productive, never idle or bored. He loved working with his hands and solving problems.
Glenn had a passion for his family and his home. He cherished every moment he spent with his grandchildren, who loved to visit his home and explore his amazing landscaping work. He created a beautiful and fun environment with fountains, flowers, a pond and a zipline. Glenn also had many other interests, such as car restoration, cannon making and firing, and knife forging.
Glenn was an excellent friend and someone you could call on in almost any situation. He always had a positive attitude, was reliable, trustworthy and generous with his time. He was the go-to person for many people in many situations. He was not only a good friend, but also a role model and an inspiration to many.
Glenn was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He always had a kind word and a fun story to share. He had a creative mind and a knack for making his dreams come true. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Mooreland First Christian Church with Pastor Nathan Edwards officiating. Burial will take place at Mooreland Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 2:00 pm until time of service on Friday at the church.
