Grace A. Steadman

Grace A. Steadman, 87, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. She was born December 30, 1934 in Slat, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Odie and Mary Ellen (Atkinson) Russell.

Grace was employed at Firestone in Noblesville for over 30 years. She was a former member of Memorial Wesleyan Church. Grace loved flowers and traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains or to a beach.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Sherer; former husband and friend, Steve Steadman; step daughter, Terri (Tony) Hudson; grandchildren, Laticia Green, Laurie Ellen (Gus) Medina, Stephanie (Jamie) Langston, Kelli (Kelly) Bush and Scott (Laura) Hudson; great grandchildren, Tyler Green, Savannah Green, Nicholas Medina and Jaylyn Medina; several great great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Clapp and her brothers, David Russell, Larry Wayne Russell and George Russell.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
