Guin E. Chapman, 86, of Knightstown passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at her residence. She was born July 17, 1939 in Soldier, Kentucky to the late Wilford and Bessie (Masters) Roseberry.
Guin graduated from Knightstown High School in 1959 and began her career at Western Electric, where she worked for over 15 years until the company closed. She married Jimmie G. Chapman on March 26, 1958, and they spent 58 joyful years together until he passed away in 2016. Throughout their marriage, they shared many happy moments, including their love for playing games and enjoying each other’s company. Their long-lasting bond is a testament to the love and commitment they had for one another, making their time together truly special.
She enjoyed going camping and fishing. Guin also liked to be creative; she made clothes and crafted little angels to give to her family and friends. When she wasn’t busy with crafts, you could find her playing card games, especially euchre. Guin had a special love for watching soap operas. And one thing was for sure: if you visited Guin’s house, you would never leave feeling hungry because she loved to cook delicious meals for everyone.
She is survived by her son, Troy W. (Candy) Chapman; grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle Hoskins, Shelby (Zach) Greenwood and Hunter Chapman (Macy Stewart); great grandchildren, Autumn, Sylas, Stella, Layla, Rowan, Fin and Paisley; a sister, Nina Murray and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie G. Chapman; a daughter, Debbie Hoskins; siblings, Arbie Gearhart, Nora Hudson, Cleo and Ray Roseberry.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
