Ira L. Clements, 81, of New Castle went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 2, 2008. He was born July 1, 1927 in Winchester the son of Clifford and Gladys (Engle) Clements.
He was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church and the Hagerstown American Legion.
He is survived by three children: Kathy (husband: Jeff) Cummings of Spiceland; Kevin Clements of New Castle and Brian Clements of Muncie; seven grandchildren: Jason (wife: April) Clements; Josh (wife: Brandy) Clements; Megan (husband: Gary) Weaver; Hannah Clements; Elizabeth (husband: Elijah) Eley; Jeremiah and Aaron Cummings; eight great grandchildren; a sister: Evaletta Hiatt of Richmond; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters: Iris Gregory, Neva Jean Pierce, Rea Norman; a brother: Dean Clements.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Reverend Charles Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
