Irma R. Nasby

Irma R. Nasby, 94, of Knightstown passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born April 5, 1931 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, the daughter of William and Edith (Fish) Caswell.

Irma graduated from North Kingstown High School. She married the love of her life, Virgil Nasby, on September 25, 1955. She was a member of Knightstown Writers Club with several articles published in many national publications. Irma was secretary of the Blue Grass Club for many years and was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a strong faith and was an avid Colts fan. Irma also enjoyed bird watching and caring for her cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Green; daughter-in-law, Tamme Nasby; grandson, Jeremiah (Nikki) Haler; great grandchildren, Clayton, Aubri and Khloe; great-great granddaughter, Novella.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil L. Nasby in 2021; son, Michael Nasby; brother, William Caswell, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Kingsley and Barbara Porter.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Carthage Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to Rush County Humane Society, 650 Van Sickle Street, Rushville, IN 46173 or the Carthage Volunteer Fire Dept., 208 S.
