Ivan Leon Stover, age 90, of New Castle, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Heritage House in New Castle. He was born November 10, 1923 in Henry County, Indiana to the late Luther and Lois (Current) Stover.
He owned and operated Stover Soft Water in New Castle and Elwood, Indiana. He had also sold encyclopedias for Americana, where he was awarded top salesman of the year two years in a row. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ivan loved animals.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Beulah (Wood) Stover; two sons, Steve (Connie) Stover of Camby and Mike (Brenda) Stover of Muncie; two grandsons, Dean (Julie) Stover of Markleville and David (Tina) Stover of Parker City; sister-in-law, Bunny Stover of New Castle; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donn Stover and a sister, Mary Stover.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Kevin Spurgeon officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
