Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnson

Jacqueline “Jackie” Johnson, 84, a resident of Mooreland passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Henry Community Health. She was born on January 28, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia.

She retired from Henry County Memorial Hospital in the late 1990’s where she had worked as a receptionist for 10 years. Jackie previously worked at Reid Hospital and the Henry County Unemployment Office. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in New Castle. Jackie enjoyed crocheting, painting, arts and crafts. She loved her dogs, Heidi and Taz as well as spending time with her family.

Survivors include 5 children, Robert Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina, Wendy (Josh) Neal of New Castle, Kenny (Andrea) Johnson of Mooreland, Scott (Brooke) Johnson of New Castle and Shannon (James) Northern of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Caitlin Phillips, Erin Gladwin, Benjamin Johnson, Amber Wisehart, Craig Johnson, Jillian Northern, Colton Northern, Mackenzie Johnson, Brevan Thrine, Tylin Thrine and Zayden Johnson; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob (Diane) Wilkerson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; several nieces, nephews and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Pat Wilkerson; brothers, Jim and Ralph Wilkerson and a grandson, Brady Northern.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mooreland Friends Church with Pastor Brenda Early officiating. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Mooreland Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 209, Mooreland, IN 47360.
