James "Jim" D. Magee

James D. Magee, 71, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at Majestic Care in Southport. He was born February 4, 1951 in Rush County the son of Merrell and Elsie (Blackburn) Magee.
Jim and his wife ran Gus’s Restaurant in Carthage for 28 years. He spent a great part of his time working on and building cars. He loved being around people and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Bradley Magee of Knightstown; and grandsons, Kelton and Jarrett Magee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; and nine brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of service. Condolences and memories of Jim may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
