James Robert Miller

James Robert Miller, 56, of Shirley passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 28, 1970 in Fort Wayne, the son of James and Karen (Atkins) Miller.

James worked in the fast food industry, at Krogers and Stroughs Supermarket, as well as a semi and dump truck driver. James enjoyed motorcycles, cars, history and music.

He is survived by his wife, Jada (Oliver) Miller; son, Harley Miller; stepson, Michael Cartwright; daughters, Dominique Jones and Caitlyn Wiesse; and uncles, James C. Miller and Joe Miller.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Sue Miller Atkins; maternal grandmother, Anna Sue Miller; aunts, Pearl Miller and Linda Tuck.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Bethany Bruner officiating. Burial will follow in Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
