Jeffery "Scott" Mikel

Jeffrey “Scott” Mikel, 55, of New Castle passed away early Wednesday morning, December 22, 2021 at Henry Community Health. He was born April 12, 1966 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of Lawrence and the late Sue (Asberry) Mikel.

He was a 1984 graduate of Tri High School, where he wrestled and played football. Scott enjoyed playing with his dog Jax. He was a very quiet, simple and a funny guy.

Survivors include children, Kelsey (Kiera McKissic) Mikel, Mitchell Mikel and Alex Jones; father, Lawrence (Janet) Mikel; sisters Sabrina Sidwell, and Heather (Jo) Baker; girlfriend, Geneen Williams; two nephews, Ryan (Kim) Sidwell and Tyler (Chelsea) Sidwell; two great nieces; two great nephews; and a special friend Donna Jones.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Steven Mikel and mom, Pat Mikel.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland with Ryan Sidwell officiating. You may express condolences or share a memory of Scott at www.hinsey-brown.com .
