Jeffery Lynn Neal

Jeffery Lynn Neal, 67, passed away on August 17, 2026, at Hickory Creek in New Castle. He was born on October 15, 1958, in New Castle, to Jeaneta (Bunch) Neal and the late William Neal.

Jeff’s journey began in New Castle, where he attended New Castle Chrysler High School. After his school days, he embarked on a career in the construction field. A simple man at heart, Jeff found his greatest joys in the straightforward pleasures of life. He was easy to get along with, and his warmth made him a friend to many—a presence that put others at ease whether in the workplace or around a campfire. Jeff was happiest in the moments spent by quiet waters as he cast his lines and waited for a tug. When he wasn't fishing, he enjoyed woodworking and camping. He cherished time spent with his family camping and being by the water. Jeff’s life was built out of honest labor, simple joys, and gentle kindness.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jeaneta Neal; brother, Douglas (Beverly) Neal; son, Brandon Neal; nieces, Heather (Jordan) Hahn and Shanna Orr; great nephews, Landon Griggs and Layne Griggs; several cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Willam Neal; brother, Barry Neal; and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Friday August 21, 2026, at 6:00pm, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, with Pastor Charles Dugger officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until the time of the service on Friday. Cremation will take place at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
