Jeffrey Todd Brown

Jeffrey Todd "Jeff" Brown, 59, a resident of Muncie passed away following a brief illness on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born March 10, 1967 in New Castle to Larry and Diana (Dalton) Brown.

Jeff was a 1985 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and also from Vincennes University, where he earned his associate degree in building technology and construction management. He worked for his uncle Rod Brown of Byers, Brown and Associates before going into business for himself. Jeff was the owner of JT Brown Construction Services and Classic Construction Concepts. He was known for "building half of New Castle". Jeff loved the Lord and was a member of Glad Tidings Church in Muncie.

Jeff was very adventurous and a dreamer. He loved visiting Bocas del Toro, Panama where he hoped to reside someday. He was a collector of all things and especially loved classic cars and attending car shows. Known for his sense of humor, Jeff could often be found making dad jokes while drinking his favorite drink, Mt. Dew. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed mowing the lawn, gardening and landscaping. Jeff loved getting together with family and friends, especially for cooking outs. He also found great joy with his dogs who will greatly miss him.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kelly (Wilson) Brown; parents, Larry and Diana Brown, sister: Rhonda (Danny) Grear, sons: Spencer (Jeremy), Christian (Kiersten) and Wesley, mother-in-law: Connie (Simeon) Chikildin, father-in-law: Danny (Lynne) Wilson as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Jeffrey T. Brown Memorial Fund.
