Jimmy Gage Purvis

Jimmy Gage Purvis, 29, of New Castle passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born June 4, 1997 in New Castle to the late Jamis Purvis and Rebecca (Fadeley) Martt.

Gage went to New Castle High School. Whenever he had some free time, you could usually find him helping with a construction project with his buddies. And when he wasn't swinging a hammer, he loved heading down to the water to spend his spare time fishing and just taking it easy.

Gage is survived by his son, Gage Purvis; father, Jamis Purvis; maternal grandparents, Dale (Vickie) Groce of New Castle; paternal grandmother, Beverly Purvis and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, paternal grandfather, Arlie Purvis; great grandmother, Betty Webb and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
