John W. Hall, 75, of Knightstown passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at Kindred Health Care in Greenfield. He was born March 11, 1939 in New Salem the son of Vada and Thelma (Henderson) Hall.
A 1957 graduate of Rushville High School, he retired from General Motors following 40 years of service. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Knightstown, a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Knightstown American Legion No. 152. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting in South Dakota and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife: Betty of Knightstown; children: Teresa (Jim) Kelnhofer of Savoy, IL, Robert W. (Noelle) Hall of Greenfield; grandchildren: Erika Wilfong of Columbus, OH, Kelly (Mike) Bryant of Champaign, IL, Stratten Kelnhofer of Bourbonnais, IL, Taylor Hall of Indianapolis, Tate Hall of Greenfield; three great grandchildren: Elliana, Londyn, and Rowan Bryant; one brother Robert (Margene) Hall of Orem, UT; and two special dogs: Lizzie and Harley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister LaVada Lakin, and a brother Tom Hall.
Services will be at 7:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Richard Thayer officiating. Masonic services will be held prior to the service.
