John R. Hollenbaugh

John R. Hollenbaugh, 70, of Carthage, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Rush Memorial Hospital. He was born July 3, 1952 in Marion County the son of Glen Allen and Wilma Ruth (Berry) Hollenbaugh.
John treasured his grandchildren and enjoyed watching their sporting events. He loved spending time with his animals at home, tinkering around the house and to fiddle with cars. John would cook all the time for the grandbabies and was a very good listener when it came to hearing about everyone’s day. He also enjoyed making desserts.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pamela Hollenbaugh; son, Damien Hollenbaugh; daughter, Desiree Hollenbaugh; mother, Wilma Hollenbaugh; grandchildren, Joseph Hollenbaugh, Gabby Hollenbaugh and Boston Hollenbaugh; brothers, Edwin and Mark Hollenbaugh; sisters, Julia Oliger, Ruth Hollenbaugh, Kathy Thompson, Glenda Hollenbaugh; mother-in-law, Leola Willoughby; sister-in-law, Gloria Harper.
John was preceded in death by his father, Glen Hollenbaugh; son, John Hollenbaugh II; brother, Gene Hollenbaugh; father-in-law, Keith Willoughby; brother-in-law, Denny Willoughby.
There will be no public services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Condolences and memories of John may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
