Jonathan Andrew Shelton

Jonathan Andrew Shelton, 40, of New Castle passed away while doing what he loved, riding his Harley, on Friday, July 11, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1984 in Noblesville, Indiana to Ed and Debbie (Smith) Shelton.

Jon was a 2003 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and was employed by Conagra Brands for the last 10 years. He had two beautiful daughters that were the lights of his life. He was an avid “gear head” and loved anything to do with racing, cars or motorcycles. Jon could fix anything and enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles or anything else that had an engine. He enjoyed fishing, racing cars at Mt. Lawn Speedway, riding his 2024 Harley Davidson Road Glide and off-roading in his side by side. Family was most important to Jon, he thoroughly loved hosting them every year at his 4th of July party.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kenzie and Ariel Shelton; his parents, Ed and Debbie Shelton; a brother, Aaron (Danielle) Shelton; a niece, Taylor Shelton; a nephew, Elijah Shelton; his former wife and mother of his daughters, Elizabeth Malson; step children, Alexias Gulley and Jessie Malson; best friends, Alex Bailey and Dennis Godby and several other close friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Ruby Smith; paternal grandparents, Jr. and Thelma Shelton and a nephew, Kyler Shelton.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens.
