Joseph E. Burnett

On April 26, 2026 Joseph E. Burnett went home to be with Jesus and rejoice with all of his family that have preceded him to fly with our Lord Almighty.

Joe was born on March 31, 1982 to Frank E. Burnett Jr. and Carolyn S. (Bough) Burnett at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Joe was a 2000 graduate of New Castle High School and was currently employed as a professional truck driver for Billman Trucking in New Point, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a younger brother, Samuel J. Burnett and his wife, Abigail (Dusang) Burnett; a nephew, Houston L. Burnett of Pennsylvania.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph W. and Janice Bough Sr., Frank and Alona M. Burnett, Johnny Burnett of Fairland, IN, Douglas Burnett of Indianapolis; cousin, Kurt Lowry of Indianapolis.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service in Friday. Entombment will take place at South Mound Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
