Joyce Eileen (Lipps) Waterman, 89 of New Castle, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at her residence. She was born February 4, 1937 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to James Earl and Nancy Golden (Kelly) Lipps.

Joyce was employed at WIC in Hamilton County for several years. She had also been employed at Willits Clothing Store and The Photo Booth, both in Noblesville. Joyce was a devout Christian and a long-time member of the New Testament Church of Christ. She and her husband, John were involved with The Gideons Bible Program for many years. They also participated in the Noblesville Jaycees where she was awarded “Mother of the Year”. Joyce’s hobbies included collecting angel figurines and working in her flower garden. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her children; John Richard (Marsha) Waterman of New Castle, Kristi Arpasi of Shelbyville, Marcia (Michael) Perez of Boca Raton, Florida, Kelly Ginder of Greenfield, Amy (Steve) Miller of Fishers and Jamie Waterman of Noblesville; 16 grandchildren, John Brandon (Maryanne) Waterman of Anderson, Jeff (Jennifer) Waterman of Losantville, Robb (Erin) Greene of Shelbyville, April (Rick) Corder of Colorado, Stephanie (Justin) Pierce of Arizona, Jacqueline Perez (Mike O’Neill) of Florida, Matthew Perez of Florida, Gabrielle Perez of Florida, Mandy Ginder of Noblesville, Kelsey Ginder of Westfield, Jon (Stephanie) Ginder of Westport, Elizabeth Cain of Sheridan, Will Miller (Fiancé Danielle Wilson) of Carmel, Abraham Miller (Fiancé Caroline Dickey) of Fishers, Benjamin VanBlaricum of Indianapolis and Jessica VanBlaricum of Noblesville; 19 great-grandchildren, Austin, Delaney, Dane, Leland and Audrey Waterman, RG, Flora, Lucy Greene, Nathaniel Perez, Cassandra Corder, Jayla and Sienna Lambert, J.C. and Alessia Perez-O’Neil, Laura Ginder, Austin Cain, Jailyn and Brooklyn Miller and Luna Brighton; brother, James K. (Brenda) Lipps of Noblesville; sister Nancy (Ronnie) Louks of Fishers.

In addition to her parents Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 72 years, John F. Waterman.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Nettle Creek Church of the Brethren, 5352 N. Brick Road, Hagerstown, Indiana Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Brick Cemetery in Hagerstown.
