Judith G. Jessee

Judith G. Jessee, 84, of New Castle passed away on Saturday May 9, 2026, at The Willows of New Castle. She was born on July 8, 1941, in Bartley, WV, a daughter of the late Harmon and Lena (Alexander) Gregory.

A homemaker, Judy enjoyed shopping, eating at Top Hat, and hosting family and friends in her home. She worked at Main and Frame Funeral Home in the 1990’s, and attended Brown Road Church of God, Ninth Street Church of God and Northside Church of God, all in New Castle.

She is survived by four children, Bill (Jackie) Jessee of New Castle, Bob (Lori) Jessee of Muncie, Linda (Mike) Bir-Conn of Blountsville, and Lisa (Fred) Heuer of New Castle; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Atkins of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 54 years, William Roscoe Jessee in 2010; son-in-law, Paul Bir, and a brother, Lee Gregory.

Judy’s family would like to extend a warm thank you to The Willows of New Castle and Henry Community Hospice for their exemplary care.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Private graveside services will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Hospital for Children at www.st.jude.org.
