Judy Lee Gorman, 71, of Spiceland, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at IU Health University Hospital following a brief illness. She was born September 9, 1942 to the late Thomas Alvin and Elva Lee (Redmon) Lane.
Judy enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing, fishing, going to sales, playing her dulcimer and listening to music. She was a very good cook and enjoyed cooking family dinners. Most importantly, Judy loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Fred H. Gorman of Spiceland; children, Tina Miller of Lafayette, LA, Tammy Gorman (Teresa J. Dicken) of Spiceland, Fred Gorman Jr. (Fiancé, Cindy Meadows) of Carthage; step daughter, Yvonne Mead of Greenfield; grandchildren, Daniel J. Miller, Chandi Shae Miller, Jodi Lee Gorman (husband, Jeffrey Purvis), Maria Dawn Johnson, James Cody Gorman; step grandchildren, Misty, Michael and Megan; several great grandchildren; sister, Patricia (husband, Roger) Roy; brothers, Thomas Dale (wife, Peggy) Lane, Troy Delbert Lane, Warren Joe (wife, Faye) Lane; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nehemiah J. Miller; and a sister, Eunice Brummett.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Danny Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
