Judy Ann Morris

November 5, 1940 — November 14, 2025

Losantville

Judy Ann (Magner) Morris, 85, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2025. She was born on November 5, 1940, in Mitchell, IN to the late Evelyn (Magner) Hahn. Her adoptive parents were the late Dewey and Mae Magner. Judy, along with her adoptive parents, moved to Muncie, IN, in 1944. Judy later moved to Phoenix, AZ, in 1958, after graduating from Elwood High School. She married Leon Gaston in 1962. Judy moved back to Indiana with her two daughters after Leon passed away in 1975. Judy married Robert Morris in 1982.

Judy worked in administration for architecture firms in Phoenix, AZ. After moving to Indiana, she worked for Kirklin Construction Company for 17 years and then for Delaware Glass Company for 10 years.

Most important in Judy’s life was her faith in Jesus Christ her Lord, her family, and her local church family at the Losantville Baptist Church. Judy ministered at church youth camps for 30 years, serving in various positions. She considered those times very precious. She was also very pleased to serve on the Board of Directors for the Pregnancy Decision Resource Group in Randolph County. Judy also served on the Mission Board at her local church for many years.

Judy cherished her time spent with family on their family outings in rented cabins in Branson, Pigeon Forge, Florida, and other sites, where rowdy, noisy, and good times were had by all.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 42 years, Robert Morris; daughters, Terri (Chris) Shore and Tammy Gaston; grandchildren, Jared (Jenny) Shore, Brantley Shore, Micaela (Andre) Shore, and Caleb Shore; great grandchildren, Braylen Shore, Avery Shore, Cora Shore, and Akiyah Jones; stepdaughter, Sheri (Doug) Ramsay; sister, Jencie Satterfield; half-sisters, Sue (Ken) Warner and Vicki (John) Ebert; brothers in law, Joseph (Barbara) Morris and David (Cheryl) Morris; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Evelyn Hahn; her adoptive parents, Dewey and Mae Magner; her brother, Dewey Magner; sister, Allien True; fathers in law and mothers in law, J.W. and Pearl Gaston and Frank and Edna Morris.

The family would like to especially thank the nurses in the infusion center at the Randolph St. Vincent Hospital in Winchester, IN and Doctor Sharief and his staff at the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson, IN for their very loving and professional care of Judy during the last three years of her life.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM preceding the funeral services at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Losantville Baptist Church, located at 55 W Wiggins St., Losantville, IN. Graveside services will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Losantville. Pastors Mike Thornburg and Chris Shore will be officiating the service.
