Linda Nancy McCormick

Linda Nancy (Lewis) McCormick, 63, of Mt. Summit passed away Monday, September 29, 2008 at her home after an extended illness. She was born September 16, 1945 in Barthell, KY the daughter of Bart and Alene (Shepherd) Lewis.
A 1963 graduate of Muncie Central High School she worked for 18 years as a bookkeeper in the Auditor’s office at the Henry County Courthouse. She enjoyed her family, vacations, traveling, flea markets, craft fairs, and collecting Boyd’s bears.
She is survived by her mother: Alene Lewis of Muncie; two children: Brent (wife: Kimberly) McCormick of New Castle, and Elizabeth A. Rozzi of Indianapolis; two grandchildren: Cody McCormick of New Castle and Kayleigh Rozzi of Indianapolis; former husband and best friend: Harry William “Bill†McCormick of Springport; sister: Suetta Anderson of Muncie; brothers: Ronnie (wife: Linda) Lewis of Louisville, KY; Jerry (companion: Carolyn) Lewis of Memphis, TN; three nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father: Bart Lewis; two brothers: Joe and Eddie Lewis.
Visitation and celebration of life will be from 11-1 Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Graveside services will immediately follow at Mt. Summit Cemetery.
