Lucky D. Maynard

Lucky D. Maynard, 51, of Carthage, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born May 3, 1972 in Greenfield the son of Cecil and Antonia (Tutrow) Maynard.

Lucky graduated from Knightstown High School in 1991 and was employed at Avery Dennison in Greenfield for 23 years. He loved motorcycles, being outdoors, hunting and doing yard work. Lucky enjoyed his family and especially his grandbaby “Boo Boo” and following retirement Lucky aspired to be Boo Boo’s professional baby sitter.

He is survived by his significant other of 18 years, Christy Mahla; daughter, Ashleigh Maynard (Steven); son, Mason Maynard; mother, Antonia (Toni) Maynard; father, Cecil Maynard; brothers, Jason (Amanda) Maynard and Cecil Maynard, Jr. (Kim); grandson, Jaxon “Boo Boo” Tarr; several nieces and nephews and lots of loving extended family.

Service will be at1:00 PM Saturday May 20, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Matt Heath officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
