Marcia G. Byrket, 70, of Spiceland passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Henry Community Health. She was born on February 27, 1953 in Henry County, Indiana to the late Walter Collins and Billie Dean (Jenkins) Estes.
Marcia was a 1971 graduate of Tri High School and was a long-time member of Spiceland Friends Church. She was a hairdresser for many years at Golden Scissors Hair Salon. She enjoyed quilting, playing Pinochle and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marcia loved blue grass music, especially gospel music and genealogy. While living in Florida, she was a member of the church sewing club, making teddy bears for patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years on July 21, 1973, Charlie Byrket; daughters, Lisa (Jason) Ash, Laura Cannon (Johnny McFarland) and Lana (Lori) Byrket; grandchildren, Noah Cannon, Mallory Ash and Collin (Lily) Ash; sister, Suzan (Dallas) Estes Cadle; brother-in-law, William Byrket; niece, Sara (Patrick) Booth; great nieces and nephew, Shelby and P.J. Booth and her beloved dog, Lilly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by mother-in-law, Eva (Pitts) Byrket; father-in-law, Maurice Byrket.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with David Brock and Eric Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16 at the funeral Home.
