Mark Allan Hopkins

Mark Allan Hopkins, 56, of Lewisville, passed away on September 1, 2026, at Hickory Creek Healthcare Campus in New Castle. He was born on April 1, 1970, in New Castle, to the late Thomas and Roberta (Muncy) Hopkins.

Mark was educated at Tri High School and went on to spend many years working as a truck driver. He was also someone who enjoyed working with his father in heating and cooling and electrical work. He will be remembered as a funny man and a jokester with a good sense of humor. Mark had a big heart and loved kids, and he enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. He loved Notre Dame football and enjoyed grilling and cooking outside, especially smoking meats. He liked talking about farming and farm tractors and loved his cats, Billy and Betty.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion, Cheryl Lefforge; his nephew, Alex Jones; his great nephews, Silas Jones and Lucka Jones; and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Muncy.

There will be no public services due to Mark’s wishes. Cremation will take place at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle and burial will be at Glen Cove Cemetery in Spiceland. You may express condolences or share a memory of Mark at www.hinsey-brown.com.
