Mary Lou Flowers
Mrs. Flowers, 92, of rural New Castle died Thursday peacefully in her home.
She was a faithful worshipper of Jehovah God. She was a generous loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized in 1960. She was born Oct. 4,1933 in Danville, IL., a daughter of Nora E. Thompson.
She is survived by her five sons, James E. (wife: Betty) of New Castle, Michael R. (wife: Janet) of New Castle, Keith A. of Muncie, Thomas S. (wife: Kristen) of Daleville and Jeffrey L. (wife: Tara) of Sulphur Springs; a daughter, Julie Anne Nicol (husband: Brad) of Edgewater, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Christopher (wife: Diana) Flowers, Jennifer (husband: Joshua) Fraley, Benjamin (wife: Jessica) Flowers, Isaiah (wife: Summer) Flowers, Michal (husband: Matthew) Duncan, Taylor, Barrett, Kaleigh, Kelsey and Ty Flowers (wife: Jessica) and Shane Purdy; great-grandchildren; Paige Fraley, Shea Jackson and many other great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Thompson of Port Charlotte, Fl and a sister Kathleen of New Castle; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Robert Flowers; sisters, Norma Jean Fowler, Florence Thompson and Sara, and three brothers, Charles, Francis and Edward.
There will be no public viewing. Dick Webster will officiate services.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 23rd, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 288 North Pleasantview Drive in New Castle, for Mary Lou Flowers.
Friends may call from Noon-2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall.
Visitation with family from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the family residence, 1960 S. Greensboro Pike, New Castle.
