Mary Lou Wiatt

Mary Lou Wiatt, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Middletown. She was born November 26, 1924 in Henry County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Lowell and Madge Beavers.

Mary Lou was a longtime member of Foursquare Church. She worked at Henry County Memorial Hospital for 13 years, retiring in 1972. Mary Lou loved music, she belonged to a Thursday Organ group in Anderson, for many years.

Survivors include a son, Paul Harris of New Castle; daughters Nancy (Clark) Sennett of Waynetown; step daughter; Barbara (Mike) Garland of Greenfield;5 grandchildren, Adam Garland, Lance (Margaret) Sennett, Joe Garland, Jill (David) Duncan and Elizabeth Harris; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Beavers and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wiatt; brother, Charles Beavers; sister, Sara Smith.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Jim Becker. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
