In remembrance of the life of Michael R. Bennett, who passed away far too soon at the age of 57. Born in 1968 to the late Jane Bennett (White), Michael's life was filled with love, pride, and lasting connections that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Michael was a 1987 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High. Shortly after he joined the army and worked at Chrysler followed by Metaldyne.
Michael's greatest joy, without question, was being a father. His son, Titen, was the pride of his life. Nothing made Michael happier than cheering him on, whether it was from the sidelines of a game or celebrating his accomplishments. Watching Titen grow and succeed was his greatest blessing, and his love as a father will always be felt.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother the late Jane Bennett, uncle Bob White, Aunts Libby Edward's and Mary Jo Sutherland.
Michael leaves behind his son Titen Bennett (Lauren), Cousin Rob White (Shalinka), special friend Corissa Shaw, Connor, Brian and a daughter Erica Travis. As well as Aunt Connie White Julson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Michael had a love for sports, and anyone who knew him knew of his passion for Michigan football. Saturdays were special to him, a time when he could immerse himself in the excitement of the game and proudly cheer on his team alongside Titen. That passion will always be a part of how he will be remembered.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Connie White Julson, Rob White, Glen Oaks (Ally), Corissa Shaw and to Henry County Hospice-Crista Pratt-for the love, compassion, and care shown to Michael during this difficult time. Your kindness and support will never be forgotten.
