Michael S. Fulton, 81, of New Castle passed away in his home. He was born on November 12, 1943, in New Castle, a son of the late Stanley and Helen (Hardacre) Fulton.
A 1961 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School, Mike joined the U.S. Marines, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He then worked for Chrysler Corporation in New Castle for 30 years, where he served as Machine Repairman, Union Steward and Skilled Trades Committeeman. He also worked at the Lima M-1 Abrams Battle Tank plant for ten years.
One-of-a-kind, solid, trustworthy, and generous, Mike was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in New Castle. Amongst many hobbies, he enjoyed photography, muscle cars, riding motorcycles, cruise-ins, all kinds of shooting sports, a variety of hunting, road trips with his wife, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his two sons, Scott (Kory) Fulton of Muncie, Alex (Kate) Fulton of Corpus Christi, TX; three grandchildren, Caleb Fulton of Lebanon, Cole (Brittany) Fulton of Muncie, and Victoria Fulton of Corpus Christi, TX; a brother, Doug (Shelly) Fulton of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Kaye Smiley of New Castle, Jackie Greene of Hickory, NC, and Tammy (Tom) Werking of New Castle; brother in law, Joe Dennis of New Castle; also, very special neighbors of fifty years, who are family, Fred and Brenda Felix.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Davis) Fulton in 2021; a daughter, Stephanie Jo Fulton; a sister, Patricia Goodwin, and a brother, Joe Fulton, and sister-in-law, Janice Dennis; a brother-in-law, Ken Greene.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2025, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jim Becker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30-1:30 prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the VFW and American Legion, with a contingent form the U.S. Marine Corps.
