Nancy (Shadoan) Lee

Nancy (Shadoan) Lee, 80, of New Castle, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026, at Hickory Creek in New Castle. She was born May 1, 1946, in Burnside, KY, a daughter of the late Delbert and Edith N. (Smith) Shadoan.

Nancy attended school in Ashland School in Liberty Township. She worked in healthcare for many years, working at Boxwood Nursing Home, Community Care, Heritage House, and Hickory Creek. She then spent several years as a caregiver in homecare.

Nancy never met a stranger, and she loved helping anyone in need. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and dolls, and shopping on QVC.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Michael J. (Sandy) Loften of New Castle, and Rich (Laney) Lee of New Castle; five grandchildren, Lacey Loften, Arron Loften, Abigail Loften, Dustin Loften, and Robert “Robbie” Loften; several great grandchildren; a god daughter, April Fuentes of AL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Taylor, brother, Paul Shadoan, and a niece, Michelle Johnson.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Lewisville Cemetery.
