Nicholas “Nick” Alan Gulley II, 35, of New Castle, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born August 29, 1990, in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Nicholas Allan Gully Sr. and Amanda Ballenger.
Nick was known for his funny personality, kind heart, and infectious laugh. He had a cute giggle that could brighten any room and was always a good listener to those around him. Nick loved giving people humorous nicknames and enjoyed entertaining his family and neighbors with his playful spirit.
Music was one of Nick’s greatest passions. He especially loved playing both the electric and acoustic guitar and could often be found sharing his love of music with those around him. He also enjoyed dancing to Billy Ray Cyrus and bringing smiles to everyone watching.
Nick loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed relaxing days fishing. Most importantly, he found peace with his Lord and Savior, which brought comfort to those who loved him.
Nick is survived by his parents, Amanda (Eric) Ballenger and Nicholas Allan (companion: Brandy Muse) Gulley; children, Alexias (companion: K’marion Brown) Gulley and Jaxson Gulley; siblings, Miranda (companion: Dustin Jackson) Gulley and Wyatt (companion: Cianna Hobbs) Gulley; grandparents, Judy Gulley and Vonda Ballenger; nieces and nephews, Avah Pennington, Sylas Pennington, Jayden Meisberger, Cloe Gulley and Aella Gulley; Nick’s significant other, Amanda Griffis; childhood best friends, Elizabeth Malson and Sady Young; aunts, Angie (Chuck) Carroll and Kim Gulley; uncles, Greg and Deron Ballenger.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Randy Gulley, Jack and Linda Burris and Virgil Ballenger; father-like uncle, Greg Gulley.
Services will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Eric Haler officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until the time of service on Tuesday. You may express condolences or share memories of Nick at www.hinsey-brown.com.
