Norman Kenneth Snowden

Norman Kenneth Snowden, Sr., 80, of Knightstown passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born January 2, 1943 in Marion County, the son of Ernest and Hazel (Wharton) Snowden.
Norman was a handyman and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, Cubs baseball, Elvis, NASCAR, fishing and camping. Norman always loved to be outside and was always working on a project, but his family came first.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leah (Farmer) Snowden; two daughters, Lisa (Al) Harwood and Rebecca Orr; a son, Norman (Amber) Snowden, Jr.; grandchildren, Danny Dews, Austin Dews, Brianna Orr, Barrett Orr and Everett Orr; great grandchildren, Lorelai Cross, Hayden Dews and Maci Dews; brother, Ernie Snowden; and sister, Elaine Cope.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
There will be a remembrance luncheon at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Carthage Community Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Condolences and memories of Norman may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com .
