Patricia Jane Dooge

Patricia Jane Dooge, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in Knightstown, Indiana. She was born on January 7, 1942, in Gary, Indiana, and lived a life filled with love, creativity, and quiet strength.

Patricia was a woman who found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved painting and reading, often losing herself in a good book, an exciting football game or a canvas full of color. Nature held a special place in her heart—she enjoyed peaceful walks outdoors and took great pride in her gardening, where her care and patience brought life and beauty to everything she touched.

Above all, Patricia cherished her family. She is survived by her four daughters, Pamela McCurdy, Lisa Karcher, Roberta White and Mila Spangler, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and four sisters, all of whom were a constant source of love and pride. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and nurturing presence will live on through each of them.

Patricia will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, and the calm, loving way she moved through the world. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to grow, just like the gardens she so lovingly tended.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel.
