Patricia “Diane” Inskeep, of New Castle, Indiana, 75 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 10, 2025. Born in French Lick Indiana to Woody and Lucy Freeman. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished Nana/Nina and a devout Christian whose warmth and laughter touched everyone who knew her.
Diane shared a beautiful life with her husband, Butch Inskeep and beloved favorite dogchild Sparky. Together, they built a life filled with love, music, and family. She was the proud mother of Ramona (Ted) Brady and family, Rich (Cheryl) Grow and family, and Jon (Mandy) Grow and family, and step-children Melissa York (Gorman), Troy Inskeep and Jennifer (Frazer) Wilson. Along with multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each of them carry forward her legacy of kindness, strength.
Diane’s passion for music was never ending, she played the piano, guitar, accordion, auto harp and whatever could get her hands. With a voice that lifted spirits and filled rooms with light, she was known as the singer of the family and part of many singing groups. Whether it was around the house, at gatherings, or during special occasions, Diane’s songs created memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those she loved.
Her life was defined by compassion, faith, and an unshakable devotion to her family. Diane had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved—a gift that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
While her presence will be deeply missed, Diane’s melody continues on through her family, her friends, and the countless lives she touched with her generous heart and joyful spirit.
Reunited with her Father, Mother and two sisters. Her song has ended, but her music will play on forever in the lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at First Baptist Church 709 S. Memorial Dr. New Castle, IN 47362. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
