Patricia "Patty" J. Hutson

Patricia "Patty" J. Hutson, 85, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1940, in Connersville, to the late Ralph and Velma (White) Stoots.

A cherished member of her community, Patty dedicated over 15 years to Rhea’s Dress Shop before finding joy as a teacher's aide at Kennard Elementary School, where her nurturing spirit touched countless young lives.

Patty was a devoted member of Greensboro United Methodist Church for many years and later joined Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church, where she took solace in the guidance of her son, Rick, who serves as the pastor. Family was central to Patty's life; she was a loving and nourishing grandmother.

Her hobbies brought her as much joy as her family. Along with spending time with her family, Patty also enjoyed shopping. In her earlier years, while her husband served in the military, she discovered a passion for pottery and gardening, which enriched her life and home.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Rick (Debbie) Hutson; grandchildren, Erica (Rickey) Pierce and Jessica (Billy) Willey; great grandchildren, Emma (Mikey) Carper, Brayton Hutson, Bayley Willey, and William Willey; great great grandchildren, Elijah Pierce and Aiden Carper; siblings, Walter Stoots, Dwayne Stoots, Joyce Plank, and Sharron Hutson.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilbert Hutson; sons, Chuck Hutson and Don Hutson; brother, Carl Stoots; and close companion, Bill Drake.
