Phyllis Littleton

Phyllis Littleton, 85, of Knightstown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Heritage Woods of Noblesville. Born on July 24, 1941, in Rushville, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Ollie Mae (Loveall) Thompson.

She was a lifelong resident of the Knightstown area and was known for her joyful spirit and ability to make everyone around her happy. Her motto was “enjoy yourself as long as you can”.

Phyllis was truly a free spirit who embraced life with enthusiasm. Her cheerful personality was infectious, and many will fondly remember her enthusiastic “Yeehaw!” that could brighten anyone’s day. She loved music, especially Elvis, and dancing. She cherished spending time with her family, enjoyed camping, and was an excellent cook who delighted in preparing meals for those she loved.

A devoted wife and daughter-in-law, Phyllis faithfully cared for her husband and mother-in-law which reflected her caring heart for others.

Phyllis retired from Western Electric after 14 years of dedicated service. She was also employed by Sugar Creek, now Heartland, and the Jacquil Casket Factory during her working years.

A woman of faith, Phyllis believed in the Lord and previously attended Grace Baptist Church.

Phyllis is survived by her six children: Sandra (Brian) Wilburn of Olive Hill, KY, Nova (Newt Wiley) Anderson of Thorntown, Romie, Jr. (Laura) Littleton of Knightstown, Marshelle (Raymond) Sims of Knightstown, Timothy (Emily) Littleton of Brownsburg and Rodney (Amber Nuffer) Littleton of Greenfield; special niece, Brenda (Bobby) Eoff of Knightstown; 15 grandchildren: Rex, Travis, Jason, Michael, Morgan, Macey, Kayla, Kendall, Chris, Tiffany, Devan, Jacob, Candance, Dustin and Tyler; 18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Romie Littleton; a son, Wayne Allen Estelle; granddaughter, Jodi Littleton; sister, Norma Jean Noble.

Services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 14, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be given in Phyllis’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alzheimer's Association or envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
