Randall “Randy” Anderson, 61, of Knightstown passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Hancock Regional Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 25, 1965 in Greenfield, the son of Huelon and Shirley (Walker) Anderson.

A dedicated public servant, Randy retired from his role as the Town Works Manager/Water Operator for Knightstown after 33 years of service. Passionate about racing, Randy and his son operated RFAB Enterprises, working on race cars, and he proudly drove race car #86 for four decades at various speedways including Mt. Lawn Speedway, Anderson Speedway, the Speedrome along with several other local tracks. A sports enthusiast throughout his life, Randy not only enjoyed watching IU Football, Basketball, and the Indianapolis Colts but was also an active participant, playing basketball during his school years and with friends.

In the 1990s, Randy founded the American Four Cylinder Racing Association (AFRA), demonstrating his dedication to the racing community. His love for sports extended to his early years, famously enjoying trapping in his youth.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Barbie Graber-Anderson, his son, Keegan Randall Anderson of Knightstown, his parents, Huelon and Shirley Anderson of Knightstown, and his sister, Angela “Angie” Smith (Blake) of Knightstown. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Kirk Graber (Hannah) of Bloomington, Kami Graber (Quincy Robinson) of Nashville, IN, and Konnor Graber (Shayna) of Bloomington, along with cherished step-grandchildren, Riley, Arden, Murphy and Oaklan Graber.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ada Cranfield and Floyd Walker and paternal grandparents, Judith Anderson and William Anderson.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Joe McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research, c/o the American Cancer Society, PO Box 681405, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
