Randall Wilson Dennis

January 25, 1944 — April 10, 2026

Greenfield

Randall “Randy” Wilson Dennis, 82, of Greenfield passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. He was born January 25, 1944 in Dalton, Indiana to the late Robert Wilson and Doris Mildred (Chamberlin) Dennis.

Growing up as the eldest of five, Randy cultivated a lifetime of kindness and gentleness that defined his character. His commitment to excellence was evident early on, as a 1962 graduate of Westfield High School who went on to earn degrees from Porter Business College and the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. A dedicated patriot, Randy proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970, while simultaneously building a successful, long-standing career at Conrail Railroad, where he eventually retired as the Director of Budgets in 1999. Beyond his professional achievements, Randy was a man of deep curiosity and connection; he possessed a passionate interest in genealogy and attended the Spiceland Friends Meeting and the Indiana Yearly Meeting. Above all else, however, his heart belonged to his family, and he found his greatest joy in the simple, cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Kirkpatrick Dennis; children, Randall Clarke (Mary Maas) Dennis, Angela Kay (Bill) Stahl, Lindley (Amanda) Kirkpatrick, Shane (Kaydee) Kirkpatrick, Maureen Kirkpatrick and Katt (Robbie Waller) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Otto, Owen, Sean, Katt, Elliana (Jay), Joseph (Bethany), Meghan, and Amaia; great granddaughter, Averie; brothers, Robert DeWayne (Anita) Dennis, Rusty A. (Sharon) Dennis and several well-loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Dennis and a sister, Rosalie Dennis.
