Randy Joseph Wyatt

Randy Joseph Wyatt, also affectionately nicknamed “Dog”, 58, of Knightstown passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1967 in Greenfield to the late Caley and Martha Jean (Moore) Wyatt.

Randy attended Knightstown High School then later joined the U.S. Navy, serving from 1986-1994. He was a welder and was stationed at the Naval Submarine Base at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. He worked for Darryl Souder for many years then for Utilities Unlimited in Knightstown and more recently for the Loves Travel Center in maintenance. Randy loved to have a good time and could always be caught having a good time. He was always the “entertainer” when having friends and family over and had fun in his own way. Randy was a loving and caring hellion that could always make someone smile or would lend a helping hand to. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle-Elinore, shooting guns, fishing where he also enjoyed his peace and quiet.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kristy Wyatt; children, Zoey Smith, Caleb (Jaslyne) Wyatt and Kayleigh York (Dustin Smith); grandchildren, Malachi Xander-Thomas Smith, Ava May Wyatt, Zoey Lynn Smith, Abel Jawayne York and Colson Allen York; siblings, Carol (Denny) Davis, Brenda (Bill) Smythe, David Wyatt, Anna Wyatt, Carrie (Tom) Conard; a uncle, Forey Wyatt; several nieces, nephews and many close friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Fisher Wyatt and his grandparents.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery with military honors conducted by contingents from the U.S. Navy and Knightstown American Legion.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the funeral home.
